I wanted to know how much the premium consoles cost to run by themselves. Also, I wanted to know how you’d feel about choosing what consoles you can have for free, as I would rather have GBA, NES, Genesis, and SNES rather than GBC and GB (Not to say I Don’t appreciate your work, I do very much!) but I wanted to know how you’d feel. (BTW, I am preparing to sub to the highest tier, but I need to make that payment separate from my main payments.)

People could just create different accounts for different consoles then
Nitro Revolution
Patrick Corrigan: Didn’t you remove consoles from free trials though?
Patrick Corrigan
Nitro Revolution: You can play everything apart from ps and n64 on the trial :) Your idea is cool but it would be a lot of work to implement and would incentivise less people to pay for premium

Could you please explain in simpler terms? I’m sorry, but sometimes my brain can’t comprehend things.

The only ones that cost money to run are the streaming ones the other ones are charged so that people will subscribe to premium

Ice Yeti: It costs to store people’s data and there are bandwidth costs every time there is an auto save or any other data transfer.
The biggest cost is the opportunity cost of my time.
Time I spend developing, fixing bugs, designing and lots of other things is time I could spend working for money or spending time with family or friends.
There’s the cost of software tools like this bug reporting software, the announcement feed and the documentation platform.
There are accounting fees and currency exchange fees.
The payment processor Stripe takes a cut of every payment
I’ve also bought hardware for testing and development.
I’ve paid for a designer.
There’s the continuous integration and a variety of other cloud tools that I pay for.
This is all in addition to the streaming costs.
The local ones definitely don’t cost nothing to run :)

Patrick Corrigan: Oh sorry I didn't know about all those other things
